Early rebloom
This little red rebloomer was
the first of all our breeding that rebloomed. Because
this
little red with yellow throat
did not appeal to me, it sat for five years being
evaluated before I even put it in a bed to be seen. I
sent Austin’s Red to a Region 4 member for his
evaluation and after
receiving his very pleasing comments and many
customer requests for a part of it, we decided to
register him. Austin’s Red will bloom early; then
bloom a second time and even as many as four times
in one season if all weather is good. The re-bloom
effect of Austin’s Red comes mostly from his
mother My Wife Lynn because she has produced other
rebloomers in her breeding line
